Welcome, New Affiliate Member!
We are delighted you have chosen to be a part of the Colorado End-of-Life Collaborative! You are joining a dedicated group of individuals, companies and organizations dedicated to their work in the end-of-life field. As a community, CEOLC is focused on shifting the way we view death and dying. We envision a time when this important part of the life cycle can be approached with less fear and a greater sense of purpose.
The work of the Collaborative is wide reaching and it is going to take our village to get it done. We invite you to bring your passion for working with the dying, as well as your ideas and energy. We are looking for bloggers, connectors, presenters, committee members, and much more. If it is true that in life we reap what we sow, the more effort each member puts into growing the organization, the more our businesses will thrive.
“The rising tide lifts all the boats.”

Benefits of Affiliate Membership in the Collaborative
STRONGER TOGETHER
There is a wave of collective collaboration among professionals in the same or similar fields that is rising in recent times. This movement toward cooperation rather than competition benefits all who participate. We are changing the "capitalist, survival of the fittest, us against them paradigm," and we are thriving in shared community that makes us stronger together.
We are more than excited to have you as part of our group. This is THE ROUND TABLE. This is where ideas and efforts are shared. All participate. All are important. All are valued. All are honored for the work we are doing in Colorado to support those dancing with death.
CULTURAL CHANGE
The Collaborative seeks to change the way we speak, think and feel about death. The many euphemisms whispered when the taboo subject of dying dares to come up in conversation—if it ever does among some families and communities that avoid the subject like the plague (pardon the pun)—are symptoms of a larger problem in modern American culture.
When we avoid talking about death, we reinforce our fear of dying, which casts a shallow and unrealistic pallor of denial on the most inevitable part of life that we all have in common. We in the Collaborative seek to help people understand and accept death as a beautiful process that can enrich our lives as we walk this earth toward our transition into what comes next.
INCREASED BUSINESS
Together with CEOLC's EOL Doula Members and you—businesses and organizations in the end-of-life field committed to supporting all members of the Collaborative—we get to pool our resources, extend our reach, and share the benefits of our collective efforts. John F. Kennedy shared this ideal, saying in a 1963 speech, "The rising tide lifts all the boats."
Our Collaborative's marketing materials, which include business cards, rack pamphlets, the website, our conference presence, and the CEOLC Speakers Bureau are all benefits to being part of this organization. We welcome you as a participant and hope you will utilize and contribute to all the Collaborative has to offer.
