Fall 2021 - Collaborative Spotlight
In-Person Networking and Socializing
After a year of virtual gatherings, we returned summer of 2021 to in-person networking and socializing!
On the hot, summer afternoon of July 15th, 2021, the rain stopped and the clouds parted just in time for the collaborative’s second, in-person, Member Networking Happy Hour.
This very special outdoor event was held at the beautiful Half Moon Farm, located near Kipling and Colfax, in Lakewood. They are a community-forward, flower & vegetable farm, focused on sustainability, education, diversity and inclusion.
The weekday party was hosted by the collaborative’s affiliate member, Emily Nelson, founder and CEO of Be A Tree Cremation, Denver's environmentally-friendly water cremation.
During the hour-and-half long event, in collaboration with our host and special guests, Erin Merelli and Lauren Carroll of Denver’s Deathwives, they facilitated an on-site, live-streaming event for their members, which included interviewing some of our many attendees. This was one of the highlights of the afternoon to bring the deathcare and death conscious community together in person and on live stream.
The Colorado End-of-Life Collaborative would like to send a shout-out to Rooney at Half Moon Farm for sharing his lovely space with us. He welcomed our group with open arms, and we are grateful.
Also, a special thank you to our gracious affiliate member, Emily Nelson, for hosting the event and for providing refreshments.
Thank you to all of our doula and affiliate members for attending and participating in this event. We look forward to seeing everyone, again, in the fall for more in-person networking and socializing.
