Halo Goodbye
Details

Halo Goodbye offers high-altitude weather balloon memorials: a fully customizable ceremony in which cremated remains are placed inside a professional grade weather balloon and released into the stratosphere — into Near Space, nearly 100,000 feet above the earth — to be received by the sky and the winds.
Unlike a traditional gathering, a Halo ceremony is active. Families don’t simply observe, they participate. At the heart of every ceremony is a powerful act: a chosen loved one cuts the balloon string. This ritual act creates an intentional moment of release which can be a healing milestone when navigating a loss.
Halo Goodbye is designed to be inclusive of all beliefs — spiritual, secular, and religious — and can be woven into any existing memorial or held as a standalone ceremony. The process has little environmental impact, and can be done outdoors at many beautiful and meaningful locations.
We also welcome those wishing to honor their beloved pets.
At Halo, we deeply believe in the healing power of ritual, and we strive to provide an avenue for such healing through our ceremonies. We also believe that intentional moments of ceremony can help change the world by connecting humankind to something bigger than ourselves, to the cosmos, and to each other.
