Counseling and Care Planning

Details

I’m Amanda Dodson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families facing serious illness, caregiving challenges, and end-of-life transitions. My private practice offers counseling and care planning services grounded in compassion, clarity, and respect for each person’s unique values.
I provide individual counseling for adults navigating new or complex medical diagnoses, advanced illness, caregiver stress, and existential concerns. I also offer facilitated care planning conversations—virtually or in clients’ homes—to help families communicate openly and make decisions that honor what matters most.
My approach is person-centered, using modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and meaning-centered counseling to guide clients toward peace and purpose, even in life’s most difficult seasons. I am known for being approachable, warm, and grounding—creating steady, judgment-free spaces where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
