Colorado End-of-Life Collaborative’s volunteer Board of Directors is thrilled to announce a special collaboration with The Natural Funeral and Willow Farm Contemplative Center. On Saturday, August 24th from 9AM-12PM we will be offering a workshop on Reverent Body Care created specifically for the EOL doula and affiliate members of the Collaborative. The event will take place at Willow Farm Contemplative Center located at 11898 N. 75th Street, Longmont, CO 80503. Reverent Body Care® is a gentle washing with natural products, anointing with pure essential oils, and dressing of the deceased. It is at the same time, an honoring, a blessing, and a letting go of the physical remains. While some may see Reverent Body Care® simply as a respectful last act of cleansing of the physical remains, others may connect with it as an ancient ceremonial blessing and taking leave of the body. The August 24th workshop is graciously created and offered by member Seth Viddal of The Natural Funeral and Susan Nemchek of Willow Farm. This sacred service is a meaningful, healing experience available to those who work with The Natural Funeral and is also a small part of Willow Farm’s much larger Cause to Pause: Contemplative Care Training program. We are so fortunate that this skills workshop has been distilled down to three hours and is being made available to us as death care professionals. In this way, you will be able to further empower your clients to care for their dying loved ones in ways that honor and embrace lives that have been lived in mortal bodies. Obviously, it is also a compassionate way to care for your own loved ones in the future as well. CEOLC is proud to collaborate with two such inspirational providers in our community. Although this class is valued at $300, we are offering this special opportunity for only $22 for all who would like to participate. You can RSVP and buy your tickets on EventBrite by following this link:  Reverent Body Care® for CEOLC Members. Please purchase your tickets by August 20. Scholarships are also available if needed. Send inquiries to our President Valerie Nicholas at Valerie.CEOLC@gmail.com. Unfortunately, this is an in-person only event. If you have any questions, please contact our new Secretary Christina Foushee at Christina.CEOLC@gmail.com.Â
